RC ALCOBENDAS?
In 2011, a group of parents, coaches, and friends joined forces to found Rayo Ciudad Alcobendas, a sports project born with the passion to create a space for nurturing grassroots soccer and the values associated with the sport. From the beginning, the club focused on developing young talent, promoting the holistic growth of its players both on and off the field.
Ten years later, in 2021, a new board took the helm of the club with the firm goal of taking it to the next level. With a strategic and ambitious vision, they worked to make RC Alcobendas a reference academy in the Community of Madrid. This shift marked the beginning of an expansion and professionalization phase that strengthened its position as one of the leading forces in grassroots football in the region.
The effort and commitment of everyone involved paid off in 2024 when RC Alcobendas became part of the exclusive group of academies with a presence in all top-tier categories of Spanish youth soccer. With nearly 1,000 registered players and programs covering all levels of competition, the club has established itself as a leader in football development, offering its young athletes a unique platform to grow as both sportspeople and individuals.
FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE IN A SPANISH TEAM
Players will be placed in Spanish teams based on their skill level, allowing them to compete in youth divisions such as the Liga Nacional, the División de Honor, or in adult soccer categories like Preferente. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to face the best Spanish academies, which will be key to their football development.
The program will include five weekly training sessions with their team in Spain, complemented by an individualized session supervised by the Elite Staff of RC Alcobendas. On weekends, players will participate in official matches, facing a highly competitive environment and putting into practice everything learned during the week.
PLACEMENT BACK IN THE UNITED STATES
One of the main objectives of the program is to offer players the opportunity to return to the United States with athletic scholarships, if they wish. Through intensive on-field development and comprehensive training off the field, the program provides players with the best tools to be recruited by the U.S. universities of their choice, maximizing their academic and athletic potential.
